Meet the Team


Becky Siekierski, Ph.D., LSSP, NCSP

Dr. Becky Siekierski is a Licensed Psychologist with extensive training and experience in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents. She earned her doctorate from Texas A&M University in College Station and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist as well as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Before founding Clear Lake Children's Center, she had over 12 years of previous experience working in public schools, with additional training experiences in community mental health clinics and hospital settings.

Dr. Siekierski specializes in assessment and intervention for:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Early Childhood/Developmental Disorders
  • Social Skills 
  • Parenting

Penny Sweeney, M.A.

Penny Sweeney

Penny is a Special Educator offering many services to assist families. For the past 20 years, she has been fortunate to have worked in various capacities serving both the mental health and special education populations. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and served a local school district as an Autism Instructional Specialist, an In-Home Parent Trainer, Behavior Instructional Specialist, and Program Facilitator. She now works as an Alternative Academics Instructional Specialist. Penny earned a Masters of Arts degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate as a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Behavioral Health.

Penny works with children of all ages and abilities to provide:

  • In-Home Support
  • Special Needs Tutoring
  • Special Education Consultation and IEP Support
  • Social Skills, Behavior, and Transition Support

 

 

Rona E. Smith, MS, LPC

Rona Smith

Rona is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in child and adolescent counseling. She earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and has more than 13 years of experience working as a school counselor in the public school system. Prior to becoming a counselor, Rona earned a Master of Science in Education degree at Brooklyn College and worked as a teacher in New York City and LaMarque for 9 years. As a Licenced Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor, Rona is deeply committed to helping children and adolescents overcome challenges and become as healthy and happy as possible. Rona specializes in child and adolescent issues relating to:

  • Disruptive Behaviors and ADHD
  • Anxiety, Depression, and Emotional Regulation
  • Divorce/Family Problems
  • Grief/Death/Trauma
  • Anger Management
  • Stress Reduction and Mindfulness

Morgan Sowell, Ph.D., LSSP

Dr. Morgan

Dr. Morgan Sowell is a Licensed Psychologist with over 9 years of experience providing care to children and adolescents in a variety of settings including public schools and hospitals. She received her doctorate in School Psychology from Texas A&M University and her Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from UT Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. She is passionate about helping to create measurable results and a positive outcome for her clients. Dr. Morgan is a Texas native and resides in the Clear Lake area. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, jet skiing, trying new cuisines, and international travel. She specializes in coordinating interventions across home, school, and treatment settings for:

  • Trauma
  • Abuse
  • Grief
  • Depression/Anxiety/ADHD
  • Adjustment to Medical Conditions
  • Emotional and Behavioral Concerns
  • Development of Coping and Social Skills
  • Transition Planning into Adulthood   

 

Mari F. Berry, Ph.D., LSSP

Dr. Mari Berry is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology who obtained her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. She has advanced training and expertise in child and adolescent psychology. She has specialized training in the assessment and treatment of intellectual and socio/emotional functioning for children of diverse backgrounds. Dr. Berry completed a school psychology internship at Dallas ISD. She has spent many years providing services to families in various school districts in Texas. Dr. Berry enjoys helping children, adolescents, and their families navigate through the complexities of challenging life circumstances. She likes to use practical ways to involve the child in being an active participant in therapy and works closely with the parents to tailor a plan that best fits their family. Dr. Berry is fluent in English and Spanish and specializes in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing problems with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Adjustment
  • School behavior
  • Social development
