Becky Siekierski, Ph.D., LSSP, NCSP
Dr. Becky Siekierski is a Licensed Psychologist with extensive training and experience in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents. She earned her doctorate from Texas A&M University in College Station and has over 12 years of previous experience working in public schools, with additional training experiences in community mental health clinics and hospital settings. Dr. Siekierski specializes in assessment and intervention of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and early childhood development/disorders. She loves working with "quirky" kids!
Penny Sweeney, M.A.
Penny is our Parent Training Coordinator and currently offers in-home behavior support, parent training, and special needs tutoring. She also looks forward to developing new social skills supports for children and adolescents. Penny specializes in providing social skills training to teens and adults with developmental, social, and intellectual disabilities, nonverbal learning disability, ADHD, social anxiety, and autism. For the past 20 years, she has been fortunate to have worked in various capacities serving both the mental health and special education populations. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and served a local school district as an Autism Instructional Specialist for several years. She has also served as an In-Home Parent Trainer, Behavior Instructional Specialist, and Program Facilitator. She switched roles this year and now works as an Alternative Academics Instructional Specialist. Penny earned a Masters of Arts degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate as a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Behavioral Health.
Rona E. Smith, MS, LPC
Rona is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in child and adolescent counseling. She earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and has more than 13 years of experience working as a school counselor in the public school system. Prior to becoming a counselor, Rona earned a Master of Science in Education degree at Brooklyn College and worked as a teacher in New York City and LaMarque for 9 years. As a Licenced Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor, Rona specializes in child and adolescent issues relating to self-esteem, emotional regulation, anxiety, family problems, divorce, death, trauma, incarceration, grief, anger management, ADHD, depression, bullying, interpersonal relationships, and stress reduction. Rona is deeply committed to helping children and adolescents overcome challenges and become as healthy and happy as possible.
Sherry Burton, MA, LPC
Sherry has over thirty years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She received her undergraduate degree from Kent State University and her graduate degree from Prairie View A&M University. Sherry retired from the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department where she provided counseling and supervision as well as life skills training, parent/child workshops, and other services for children, adolescents, and families. She specializes in providing quality therapeutic services to families experiencing conflict and trauma, divorce and blended families, and working with children with emotional/behavioral difficulties, anger management issues, and more.
